Ariana’s Cake Smash and Splash

by

Ariana’s Cake Smash!

Good afternoon one and all, come on in and get comfy as it’s time to check out some pictures of yet another cake smash. We all love a good cake smash!
For todays blog, I have the beautiful Ariana who came in for her 2nd birthday cake smash. Her smile lit up the room and she can certainly pull some funny faces. She had such fun playing with the cake and twirling in her beautiful dress. I was really impressed when I noticed that her dress actually matched the cake! That never happens.

After Ariana was all caked out, we brought out the bath tub for some splashy fun, she loved it. I love watching children’s faces light up when they realise they can splash as much as they want and make loads of mess.

Anyway I’d like to say a huge thank you to Ariana for being my first cake smash since I landed in Cyprus. I was desperate to do one and I couldn’t have asked for a better session. I love my job and I love to make people happy by giving them such wonderful memories.

Right, i’m stopping myself before I bore you all with my sob story about not working for a few weeks…..

Here is Ariana enjoying her cake smash, I hope you all enjoy it too :)

Baby Rory

by

Baby Rory

I would like to introduce you all to this very handsome little chap, who goes by the ever so cute name….Rory! I mean how cute! He came into my brand new studio with his family for his first ever photoshoot, although it really didn’t seem like his first. He was such a pro! After a feed and mummy snuggles he was handed over to me and we got on with it. He was such a little angel and it was such a please to work with him. He was very easy to pose and I loved that he kept smiling at me, now I know theres a debate about wether babies can actually smile or wether its just wind but I honestly think that this little fella just liked me! Well, he didn’t like me that much because every time I picked the camera back up the smile went…Cheeky or what!

This was the first studio shoot I had done since arriving and it seemed a little strange working in a totally different area. I love it though because it is much bigger than my old studio! I love my job so much and I was honoured that Rory’s mummy emailed me just days after my first ever advertisement and then chose me to photograph her baby boy. He pretty much slept throughout and even though we tried at the end they was no way we were going to get a shot of him with his eyes open. He was completely settled and there was no way I was waking him up. you know what they say, never wake a sleeping baby! It was such a shame too as I caught a glimpse of his gorgeous little eyes when he came in and wow, just stunning!

Anyway, as usual I could talk for hours…..but I won’t! :)

Here are my favourite images from the shoot.
Enjoy x

The Perrin Family shoot

by

The Perrin family

The Perrin family contacted me to book in for a surprise photo shoot. Mr Perrin aka Dad, didn’t have a clue that his lovely wife a two adorable children were having a photoshoot done. As it turns out the photo he has on his desk was a teeny bit old! We needed to update it and get mum and the two children in a picture together. One he could have on his desk at work, look at everyday and see his family smiling back at him. We decided to visit Kourion Ruins which is absolutely stunning! (link to Kourion can be found at the end of this post)

We took a nice slow stroll around the grounds and found some lovely places to settle down and take some shots. One thing a realised very quickly is that it was 31 degrees and the sun was harsh, I worked with it but it was obvious that a full hours shoot in this heat would cause problems. No one likes a sweaty look about them in their photo’s now do they?

We had such fun exploring and I finally felt like I was fully back at work. As most of you know, we have only just moved over to Cyprus and I had taken just over a month off of work. Normally that would be heaven but when your hobby is your job, you miss it, really miss it. I love my job so much that it didn’t matter what had to be done, I wanted to be back at work the day I landed in Cyprus….. Obviously I didn’t do that but I really wanted to. Instead we spent 3 weeks exploring the Island and finding lots of lovely places for photoshoots. I always like to go exploring so I can offer new places to my clients. I spent 3 weeks learning about lighting and the suns positioning in the sky at certain times. Anyway, I loved the photoshoot and the family were just lovely.

Before I go on and on about how amazing everything was, here are some of my favourite shots from the shoot, I hope you like them. If you do, why not give it a share on facebook :)

The Wedding Of Mr&Mrs Britten

by

The Wedding Of Mr&Mrs Britten was one of those weddings that you just don’t want to leave. The entire family were so welcoming and made me feel more like a guest than someone who was working all day. It was stunning from start to finish and I felt honoured to be a part of the occasion.
When I arrived at the Mother of the brides home, getting ready was in full force. The bridesmaids were having hair and make up done so I quickly got all my kit out and began clicking away, the bride appeared from the bedroom and my gosh she looked stunning. Her hair was perfect, she didn’t look nervous….yet and her make up was flawless. As everyone got ready, more and more people began to wait outside for a glimpse of the bride.
The cars soon arrived and we made our way to the church, everyone looked amazing. The bride arrived and the ceremony began, it was one of the most beautiful ceremonies I’ve covered. the Church was stunning, the stain glass windows were just gorgeous. All the guests were eager to see the bride and the groom stood at the front awaiting that first look. As the Bride walked in, the gasps and oooh’s and arrrr’s were clear to hear. Everyone looked so proud and happy.

After the ceremony we went on to the reception venue, Sudbury house hotel in Farringdon and braved the cold for some outdoors photo’s, it started raining so we ran inside for the rest of the shots. The venue had beautiful gardens and I really wish we had more time outside as the potential is endless, there are so many places to explore and in the right weather it could be just amazing. We made the most of what little sun shine we had and got the shots we needed. The brother of the bride did a fab job gathering everyone for photo’s, especially one particular shot which all the men seemed to be excited for. They had all worn odd socks! I’m not entirely sure the bride was impressed but the image still looked pretty awesome and I do love a fun shot.

Anyway, before I blab on and on about how beautiful everything was, here’s the images you’ve been waiting for.

Happy Birthday Pearl

by

Happy Birthday Pearl!

Well this gorgeous little girly turned the big ONE last week and we had a mini celebration in the studio. Pearl enjoyed her birthday cake smash so much that I’m pretty sure she would have stayed until closing.
The smiles on Pearls face were so natural and honest, I loved how much fun she was having with her cake and how much she enjoyed being messy. After Pearl had finished making a huge mess with her cake, we brought out the vintage bath tub. And yes, it is a new one! I found this lovely bit of history at The Old Pill Factory, Witney. You can find the website link at the bottom of the page.
I am usually very good at judging who will be a professional splasher and who will just enjoy the warmth of the lovely warm water in the bath tub, well this time I was so very, very wrong. Pearl was an epic splasher, I literally had to take a step back to ensure my camera didn’t get wet. She was amazing!!

All in all we had a wonderful hour in the studio and I thoroughly enjoyed spending time with little Pearl. So before I blather on about how much I love my job, here are my favourite images from the day.
