Jolene get’s her kit off. Almost!

by

Hello and welcome back to the wonderful world of Katie Garcha.

I know I haven’t written a blog since October but I felt like I was writing about the same things over and over again so I decided to take some time away. Today I had the very gorgeous Jolene in the studio and I have to blog our session.
Jolene is a very good friend of mine and is an absolute inspiration. A few years ago, Jolene was in a very bad car accident in which she was seriously injured. Now, I wont go in to detail because I know she will read this and I hate the thought of her re living the event as I have seen first hand what it does to her. Let’s just put it this way, she is a warrior! And a bloody gorgeous one at that.
Yes I know I am singing her praises but if anyone has shown me that life is to be lived, it’s Jolene. She is one of my best friends and I love her to bits!

Anyway, Jolene is currently over in Cyprus with us for a few months and I have been desperate to try out some boudoir type shoots. So I asked her if she would be up for it and my goodness I am glad she agreed. I am so happy with the result and I hope you all like them too.

Everyone woman deserves to be shown just how stunning they are and I am a true believer that everyone is beautiful.  This is the exact reason I am going to be offering these sessions from March 2016. I want women to come in to my studio, get a make over with a professional make up artist then enjoy having fun whilst I capture every bit of their beauty.

I really hope you enjoy these images :)jolene | Katie Garcha Photography (more…)

The Wedding Of Mr&Mrs Britten

by

The Wedding Of Mr&Mrs Britten was one of those weddings that you just don’t want to leave. The entire family were so welcoming and made me feel more like a guest than someone who was working all day. It was stunning from start to finish and I felt honoured to be a part of the occasion.
When I arrived at the Mother of the brides home, getting ready was in full force. The bridesmaids were having hair and make up done so I quickly got all my kit out and began clicking away, the bride appeared from the bedroom and my gosh she looked stunning. Her hair was perfect, she didn’t look nervous….yet and her make up was flawless. As everyone got ready, more and more people began to wait outside for a glimpse of the bride.
The cars soon arrived and we made our way to the church, everyone looked amazing. The bride arrived and the ceremony began, it was one of the most beautiful ceremonies I’ve covered. the Church was stunning, the stain glass windows were just gorgeous. All the guests were eager to see the bride and the groom stood at the front awaiting that first look. As the Bride walked in, the gasps and oooh’s and arrrr’s were clear to hear. Everyone looked so proud and happy.

After the ceremony we went on to the reception venue, Sudbury house hotel in Farringdon and braved the cold for some outdoors photo’s, it started raining so we ran inside for the rest of the shots. The venue had beautiful gardens and I really wish we had more time outside as the potential is endless, there are so many places to explore and in the right weather it could be just amazing. We made the most of what little sun shine we had and got the shots we needed. The brother of the bride did a fab job gathering everyone for photo’s, especially one particular shot which all the men seemed to be excited for. They had all worn odd socks! I’m not entirely sure the bride was impressed but the image still looked pretty awesome and I do love a fun shot.

Anyway, before I blab on and on about how beautiful everything was, here’s the images you’ve been waiting for.
Enjoy x

Hollie’s Cake smash

by

Well I went ahead and bought a whole load of new props….I’m a sucker for anything extra girly and these props really stood out to me. As for this cake smash, little Hollie wasn’t feeling to good about the whole thing. As I have said in previous posts, not all children love the attention and the lights being on them. It can be quite daunting to a little 1 year old, but as I always do, I try my absolute best to get a smile and to make the child relaxed so they can enjoy themselves. It is really all about them and their first birthday after all. I would much rather the child enjoyed themselves than being unhappy and scared, so sometimes the bath tub has to come out. The vintage bathtub that I use is an additional extra that can be added on to either of my cake smash packages. I love it, most babies love it too. If baby isn’t enjoying the cake smash and we know they love water, we swap. This was the case for the lovely Hollie, she wasn’t overly fond of the cake smash and much preferred the bath tub experience.  We soon got some laughs and cheeky smiles and she certainly enjoyed herself, which to me, is the most important part. Here are may favourites from Hollie’s session   Enjoy x Katie Garcha Photography | Oxfordshire | Carterton (more…)

Mr&Mrs Stronach

by

The day of the Stronach Wedding had finally arrived and the sun was shining. I made my way to The Bay Tree hotel, Burford and was greeted by the gorgeous Bride and her bridesmaids.

As the day went on, I felt so much love from all their family and friends. The Groom and his groomsmen were all dressed in good old kilts and looking fantastic, even baby George had a kilt on. As the Groom stood waiting for his Bride he laughed and smiled with people until he saw her. His jaw dropped and he smiled, you could see the love radiating from him. The bride walked down the isle with her brother and he looked so proud. After the ceremony I took the new Mr&Mrs Stronach away for some pictures. They looked so much in love that it reminded me of how I felt on my Wedding day. So in love and the feel of joy of finally being married. Anyway before I tell you about the whole day in words, let me show you in pictures. Heres my favourite images from the day, enjoy! x   Mr&Mrs Stronach | Wedding Photography | Katie Garcha | Burford (more…)
