Well I went ahead and bought a whole load of new props….I’m a sucker for anything extra girly and these props really stood out to me. As for this cake smash, little Hollie wasn’t feeling to good about the whole thing. As I have said in previous posts, not all children love the attention and the lights being on them. It can be quite daunting to a little 1 year old, but as I always do, I try my absolute best to get a smile and to make the child relaxed so they can enjoy themselves. It is really all about them and their first birthday after all. I would much rather the child enjoyed themselves than being unhappy and scared, so sometimes the bath tub has to come out. The vintage bathtub that I use is an additional extra that can be added on to either of my cake smash packages. I love it, most babies love it too. If baby isn’t enjoying the cake smash and we know they love water, we swap. This was the case for the lovely Hollie, she wasn’t overly fond of the cake smash and much preferred the bath tub experience. We soon got some laughs and cheeky smiles and she certainly enjoyed herself, which to me, is the most important part. Here are may favourites from Hollie’s session Enjoy x (more…)

This gorgeous little girl was a little cautious to start off with but she soon got into it, the mess was impressive and I was so pleased with how the Cake Smash turned out. Not all children go straight in for the cake and it can take some children a good twenty minutes before they feel totally comfortable with the whole situation. Please remember that this is a brand new experience and the child is only 1 year old so don’t expect them to go straight for it. I recently added on the vintage bath tub experience to my packages, this is a good opportunity to get the child clean whilst they have a splash and you get some extra pictures of them having some water fun. Below, you will see some pictures of the bath tub in use by the beautiful Amaya. (more…)
You all know by now how much I love cake smash shoots. Well as per usual, I loved this one too, however, this particular little beauty was the best splasher I’ve seen in a while! As soon as the vintage bath tub came out for clean up time, the splashing began. The studio was soaked and Maisie had loads of fun! All my delicious cakes are made by the wonderful Emma Lewis at http://www.lecakecraft.com Here are some of my favourite images, Enjoy xx (more…)
On 21st July, Rufus came into my studio with his mummy and daddy for his first birthday cake smash. At first he was a little unsure but once he got started we had loads of fun. I even remember his dad getting very involved and I definitely remember him having more birthday cake on his face that Rufus at one point. I do love when parents get involved, it makes it that little bit more fun for everyone. At the end of the cake smash, we brought out my vintage bath tub to clean up and obviously get some serious splashing on the go. Here’s what you all want to see, the images…
The day of the Stronach Wedding had finally arrived and the sun was shining. I made my way to The Bay Tree hotel, Burford and was greeted by the gorgeous Bride and her bridesmaids.
As the day went on, I felt so much love from all their family and friends. The Groom and his groomsmen were all dressed in good old kilts and looking fantastic, even baby George had a kilt on. As the Groom stood waiting for his Bride he laughed and smiled with people until he saw her. His jaw dropped and he smiled, you could see the love radiating from him. The bride walked down the isle with her brother and he looked so proud. After the ceremony I took the new Mr&Mrs Stronach away for some pictures. They looked so much in love that it reminded me of how I felt on my Wedding day. So in love and the feel of joy of finally being married. Anyway before I tell you about the whole day in words, let me show you in pictures. Heres my favourite images from the day, enjoy! x (more…)
